4.0 out of five for The Reader
Very good. It is scary that you feel for someone who has done such evil things. David Kross was excellent. Recommended.
-
3.0 out of five for Rachel Get Married
Not your typical wedding film. Not very uplifting but Anne Hathaway does an OK job.
-
2.0 out of five for Four Christmases
No. It was really not funny.
-
4.0 out of five for Twilight
is quite good for a vampire film and features the second hottest vampire around. Number one will feature in Underworld 3.
-
2.5 out of five for Yes Man
It was more like No Man so bad. And I so looked forward to it. Not funny.
-
4.0 out of five for Changeling
Gripping and until the very end you wonder how it's going to end. Great.
-
4.5 out of five for Quantum Of Solace
Just a tiny bit less than Casino Royale. But Daniel Craig is great.
-
4.0 out of five for Baader Meinhof Complex
A gripping film even more so because it all happened. Only lacking to answer the question why.
-
2.0 out of five for Easy Virtue
It was nicely shot and edited but the story was so boring. Only good thing: watch Colin Firth dance the tango.
-
3.0 out of five for Gomorra
It feels very real, it's nearly uncomfortable to watch. Not much redemption. Am not too big a fan of slice of life films.
-
3.0 out of five for Nights In Rodanthe
A real tear jerker but sometimes that's fine. Richard Gere and Diane Lane work well together. Chick flick tho.
-
4.0 out of five for Il Y A Longtemps Que Je T'aime
A bit slow in the beginning but really wonderful.
-
2.0 out of five for City Of Ember
It was lovely to see Tim Robbins again but despite Bill Murray it was pretty bad. Louse SFX too.
-
3.5 out of five for How To Lose Friends And Alienate People
It's cute and Simon Pegg is really funny. Watchable.
-
3.0 out of five for Brideshead Revisited
Visually nice. Fine cast. Storywise potentially real drama but very unlikeable protagonist.Whishaw is great.
-
1.5 out of five for Taken
Blimey that was bad. Uninspired, wrong casting (Liam Neeson), plot holes and generally just not engaging.
-
2.5 out of five for Righteous Kill
Had expected a lot more from a film with these 2 actors but it was disappointing. Al Pacino is always watchable tho.
-
2.0 out of five for Then She Found Me
Colin Firth is him self but really the rest of the film is lousy, far from engaging and uninspired.
-
2.5 out of five for Step Brothers
Well, it kind of lived up to what I expected: not much. But I did laugh oud loud at times.
-
4.0 out of five for The Duchess
Not bad at all. I find Keira Knightley is a good actor and so is Ralph Fiennes. A bit slow at times, but watchable.
