Getting started

  1. Get a Twitter account (it's free!)
  2. If your Twitter updates are protected you'll need to follow @oo5.
  3. For Out of Five to pick up your reviews you need to tweet a thing, score out of five and a comment using the following format: @oo5 thing score review
Have a look over there on the right hand side for some examples. Or, if you have a spare moment, read over the conventions.
  4. Use Twitter to send reviews via SMS, Instant Messenger or a web browser... Woo!

The idea

I was getting annoyed with my inability to remember exactly what I thought of gigs and films by the following morning... so I set about making a little service that would let me text gig and movie reviews while on the bus home.

The result was Out of Five, a little service that grabs reviews from Twitter.
